To develop a solution, you will need an imp card and a development board to plug it into. Both of these are available to purchase from one of our distributors (see below), or you can download complete design packages from our dev wiki.
You can also build an Imp socket onto your own development board: we provide guidelines to ensure that your design performs best with the Imp.
Once you have received your development kit, or whilst you are anxiously waiting for it to arrive, you can create an electric imp account which will give you access to the imp IDE and the developer forums. To create an account, go to our sign up page.
To get familiar with the hardware, BlinkUp, the imp IDE and and developing software in Squirrel, we suggest trying one of our examples such as Hello World or one of the advanced examples.
For more details about the hardware and software, check out the electric imp dev wiki. If you're interested in the latest developer updates and announcements, subscribe to our newsletter.
We’re in full production, so if are interested in buying the imp card in bulk contact us at sales@electricimp.com. Also, learn more about our M2M service offering.
